SK have completed the upset against their domestic rivals dignitas after a comfortable 2-0 (Cobblestone 16-3, Overpass 16-11).
Map one of the nearly all-Danish showdown, Cobblestone - unsurprisingly Dignitas' pick -, started in the favor of the favourites who got the pistol round and the following two rounds in the bag.
However, everyone from SK turned up for the remainder of the half, mainly Andreas "MODDII" Fridh, who ripped apart Dignitas' hopes of winning a gunround time and time again. Only a few rounds were contested by Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's squad, but all of them were won by their opponents who went on to take 12 rounds in a row for a 12-3 half.
Doubles from MODDII and Emil "Magisk" Reif in the pistol and a 1v2 clutch by the latter in the following anti-forcebuy sealed the deal for SK, who went on to take map one with 16 rounds in a row at 16-3.
A vintage SK.MODDII has emerged, but this time he isn't just standing in
MODDII transferred his form from Cobble towards the start of Overpass, as his triple kickstarted SK on their Terrorist side. The same couldn't be said about Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, who got a quad-kill in the second gunround, just after MSL defused the bomb in a 1v1.
Once again everyone from SK turned up and the underdogs kept piling up pressure on Dignitas, who couldn't turn opening kills into round wins. Just when they had a solid chance at winning another gunround, Asger "AcilioN" Larsen stepped up with a triple-kill in a 3v5 for 8-2.
Towards the end of the half Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye got seven kills across two rounds, but SK still ended up switching over at a commanding 11-4.
After a good start from Dignitas, Kjaerbye's heroics weren't quite enough to prevent SK from winning some of the rounds. The third-best team in Denmark were able to trade rounds evenly, which meant they eventually emerged victorious at 16-11, 2-0.
